The Koala & Wildlife Hospital Capricornia
Your support will help bring the Koala & Wildlife Hospital to life. Every donation goes directly towards making this vital project a reality.

Why We Need Your Support
We’re building the Koala & Wildlife Hospital Capricornia in Rockhampton; a vital facility to care for Central Queensland’s injured and sick wildlife. Every dollar donated goes directly towards bringing this hospital to life. Your support will help create a lasting impact for koalas and other native animals in desperate need of specialised care.

The Urgent Problem
Central Queensland currently has no dedicated wildlife hospital with veterinarians trained to treat koalas and other native animals. This critical gap means injured wildlife are often euthanised or transported long distances for care, delaying treatment and causing unnecessary suffering. Without immediate action, these challenges will only grow, putting isolated koala populations at even greater risk.

What’s at Stake
Wildlife in the region are facing alarming odds. Research shows 93% of sick or injured koalas in Central Queensland don’t survive. Commercial vet clinics often lack the expertise and resources for proper rehabilitation, leaving the burden on underfunded volunteer carers. There is also no centralised system for wildlife rescue, care coordination, or training, further compounding the crisis.

Our Plan & How You Can Help
To address these challenges, we are establishing a fully equipped wildlife hospital that will provide immediate medical care, ongoing rehabilitation, and support for a wide range of native species. Thanks to the Livingstone Shire Council, we now have a 10-year Trustee Lease to build the hospital. With your support, we can become shovel-ready — and one step closer to giving our wildlife the care they urgently need.
